ARC Station privacy policy

Last updated 11 October 2026

ARC Station is published by M Augustsson Holding AB (“we”). This policy describes what information the game handles, why, and what choices you have. The game is built to collect as little as possible: there is no account and no sign-in with us, and we never learn who you are.

What stays with you

The save file. Your progress is saved on the device: the sector map, the currencies, the workshop, the research, the loadout, the settings and which purchases have been given. If iCloud is on for the game, the save is mirrored to your iCloud storage with Apple, so that it follows you between your devices. We have no access to it.

Game Center. If you are signed in to Game Center, the game sends your best results to Apple’s leaderboards, where they show with your Game Center name. This is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy.

Purchases. Purchases in the game are made in the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and the game only receives a transaction ID, which is kept in the save so that each purchase is given exactly once.

Anonymous statistics (TelemetryDeck)

To understand how the game works for its players, for example whether a level is too hard, the game sends anonymous signals to TelemetryDeck (TelemetryDeck GmbH, Germany). The signals cover the app starting, how runs and watches end (sector, level, wave, win, length and choices in the game), purchases and upgrades in the game, research, and ads (which placement, and whether the ad was watched to the end).

Each installation gets a random ID that is made on the device and hashed before it is sent, so the statistics can count players without knowing who they are. The game sends no name, no email address, no location and no advertising ID. According to TelemetryDeck, no IP addresses are stored.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the game. You can turn the statistics off at any time under Settings, Anonymous statistics, and then nothing is sent.

Ads (Google AdMob)

The game shows ads only when you choose to watch one in exchange for a reward. The ads come from Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited in the EEA). Google’s software starts only when you choose an ad for the first time.

The ads are always non-personalised, that is, not based on a profile of you or on what you do in other apps, and the game never asks for permission to track you. To show an ad, measure that it was shown and prevent fraud, Google still processes, among other things, the device’s IP address (for an approximate location), an identifier that belongs to the device or the app, and information about the ad shown. This is described in how Google uses information from apps that use its services, and Google may process information outside the EEA with the safeguards it describes there. The ads are limited to content suitable for teenagers.

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent with Google’s consent form the first time you choose an ad. You can change your choice under Settings, Ad settings. With the Ad-free purchase no ads are shown at all.

Game values from the internet

The game now and then fetches a file of game values from GitHub, where we publish it. As with any download on the internet, GitHub sees the device’s IP address. The game sends no information with the download.

Children

The game is rated 13+ and is not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to ask for access to, correction of or erasure of personal data about you, and to object to its processing. Since the game has no accounts and the statistics are anonymous, we can usually not connect any information to you. What the game has saved on the device is removed when you delete the app, and the copy in iCloud is in your own iCloud account. Write to support@ma-dev.se if you have questions. You also have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY.

Changes

If the policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
